Terminology Used
Primary Pump = The main sump pump that runs on 120 volt standard house hold current. This pump is responsible for keeping your basement dry.
Our Battery Back up System is the most reliable back up system available. Our battery back up unit is not offered by any other waterproofing company we know of. The system is comprised of a charging unit, 12 volt long life battery and transfer switch housed in a corrosion proof enclosure. The main sump pump plugs directly into the battery back up unit. The battery back up unit is powered by a standard household outlet and simply plugs in!
How it works: When the power goes out an automatic transfer switch in the Battery Back up system immeditately sends power to the sump pump WITH OUT any delay.An audible alarm sounds to let you know when the power fails and the Battery Back up system has engaged.
What makes our battery back up superior is that it does not use a smaller, less reliable and lower capacity 12 volt pump. Most battery back up pumps only have 20% to 40% capacity of the primary pump. How will they ever keep up? They won't! Our Sump Pump is extremely durable, reliable and has one of the highest flowing capacitys in the industry
Reality is, when the power goes out it is usually during a storm at the worst time, when you need the sump pump the most!
