Did You Know...
One of the leading sources of health related provlems and moisture related damage to a home is caused by ventilated dirt crawl spaces. Damp crawl spaces typically create unpleasant odors, foster environments that lead to sever health issues, degrade energy efficiencies, allow insect and vermin infestations and ultimately result in the determination of a home.
Each year, countless building and home owners suffer crawl space system failures due to moisture and other destructive forces of nature. Anyone who has lost the use of their home due to moisture in walls or flooring failures can attest to the cost and inconveniences involved.
The only effective way to solve and eliminate moisture sources are by stopping them at their source.
Foundation Repairs, Encapsulation and Other Components that will Keep Your Basement Dry
-Foundation cracks and structural repairs-
- Minor cracks and fractures can be fixed by our innovative flexible patching system. This type of repair is designed to allow water to drain from behind the patch into our Hollow Kick Molding system. It will not come off even if the foundation crack expands or contracts!
- We repair plumbing that penetrates thru the foundation and leaks. This is a common occurrence and is easily repaired.
- Structural repairs can be diagnosed on site and repaired by our own team, JLB General Contractors. Even if your foundation walls are broken, bowed or severely cracked we can help. We perform foundation inspections free of charge.
- Structural repairs are diagnosed and corrected by JLB Waterproofing Systems.
-Window Wells-
- Brighten your basement and replace your unattractive open steel, concrete or brick window well with one that will let in sunlight. Window wells usually do not have covers letting in water, leaves, weeds and other debris.
-Windows-
- Replace your old basement windows with our Low-E (thermally efficient) vinyl slider. There is no maintenance required and nothing to rot or decay.
- They are inexpensive and manufactured by Anderson, a leading window supplier.
Foundation Wall Liner & Crawl Space Encapsulation
Our system is designed to: cover foundation walls that leak and permeate water and encapsulate crawl spaces, sealing out moisture. This system is often copied but not duplicated. Regular plastic or vinyl type moisture or vapor barriers are not intended for crawl space encapsulation and do not have the necessary durability.
- The main components of our system consist of an application specific polyethylene HDPE material which is comprised of seven layers of several grades of high performance. The HDPE (a type of plastic) is reinforced with a heavy duty polyester cord grid for high strength and durability. Since they are white, they reflect light making any space brighter and cleaner. This material is manufactured by an industry leader, Griffolyn Industries, who offers the very latest technology for sealing a crawl space permanently.
- The high strength and low permiance keeps moisture out of the crawl space preventing deterioration, mold, mildew and decay.
- Our system keeps a crawl space dry! With our dehumidification system you will be able to safely store valuables without a fear of loss.
- We can cover foundation walls that leak and are not repairable or not cost feasible to repair (but still are in sound overall condition).
Crawl Space Solutions:
- Ventilated dirt or concrete crawl spaces provide a source of moisture that can lead to mold, mildew, fungus or even structural wood damage. It has been shown that unvented and condition crawl spaces with an effective crawl space membrane provide better moisture that vented crawl spaces.
- The advanced product technology has allowed us to offer a product that helps maintain humidity levels. It is extremely durable, resisting punctures and tears. You can walk or slide across your crawl space after it is encapsulated. It is essentially like installing a swimming pool liner!
- This idea is not a new one. What is new is that we use the most highly advanced material available today.
Interior Foundation Solutions:
- For basement foundation walls that are in fair condition but may be cracking allowing water to penetrate and is not a good candidate for crack repair.
- Stone foundation walls (found in older homes).
- Damp basements
- An excellent investment before a major refinishing or remodeling of an existing basement.
Crawl Space Solutions:
- Encapsulates (lines) the crawl space walls and floor creating a moisture barrier.
A very effective and simple solution overall!
